Our residential treatment program provides hope for clients suffering from mental health and substance use disorders, helping them ensure sustained recovery. Located in beautiful Delray Beach, Deerfield Beach, Fort-Lauderdale, Orlando, Lifeskills provides a secure and nurturing atmosphere for balanced recovery and healing. Residential treatment program clients live in fully furnished townhomes that are professionally staffed 24-hours a day. This realistic, home-like setting allows residents to adapt their new coping skills within the local community and practice their daily routines while taking part in the therapeutic process. In our residential treatment program, we help our clients successfully transition back into their homes, family lives, and careers with newfound self-esteem, direction, and control. At Lifeskills Behavioral Health, we are a dynamic, dedicated, and growing team of professionals deeply passionate about providing evidence-based and personalized clinical care for mental health disorders and behavioral health conditions. Since everyone has different experiences with mental health disorders, mental health therapies must be equally as unique to address those diverse needs. Requirements

  • Associate's Degree or High school diploma with at least 3-5 years’ experience with insurance billing and collections.
  • 3-5 years’ experience acting as a liaison between insurance companies and family members/guarantors.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrates a high level of Customer Service.
  • Welcomes and integrates feedback form team.
  • Demonstrates a high level of follow-through.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
  • Demonstrates a strong belief in commitment to the goals and mission of Lifeskills South Florida.
  • Criminal background check clearance, employment and education verification.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in Mental Health, Substance Abuse Disorder Treatment, or behavioral healthcare field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Obtaining insurance verifications for clients seeking admission for substance use disorder and Mental Health treatment services at all levels of care.
  • Supporting finance and admissions functions across multiple locations, helping patients gain access to life changing treatment programs.
  • Performing billing functions that enable and expedite collections.
  • Improving cash flow and participating in managing the overall health of the company's receivables.
  • Verifies client insurance benefit information.
  • Verifies specific benefits and documents specifics for various plans.
  • Verifies client responsibility such as deductible and co-insurance.
  • Discusses client financial responsibilities with appropriate parties.
  • Identifies any coverage restrictions.
  • Ensures work is performed in compliance with all company and regulatory requirements, protecting the privacy of client information.
  • Communicates benefit information to all necessary team members in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Manages and uploads patient scanned documents such as insurance authorizations.
  • Accurately documents information in the appropriate systems.
  • Reviews patient accounts
  • Provides backup for Revenue Cycle team, as needed.
  • Attends team meetings and trainings, as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.
