About The Position

The Benefit Specialist helps patients gain access to complex medications by conducting benefit investigations, assisting with prior authorizations, and providing financial assistance resources. This role requires strong customer service, attention to detail, and empathy when supporting patients throughout the medication access process.

Requirements

1+ year of patient services, healthcare support, or call center experience.
Experience with insurance verification, benefit investigations, and prior authorizations.
Experience speaking with patients, specialty pharmacies, and insurance plans/payers.
Outbound calling experience.
Work-from-home experience with a secure workspace and reliable internet.
Experience with call monitoring, QA reviews, and performance metrics.

Nice To Haves

Previous HUB or Patient Services experience preferred.
Healthcare or pharmaceutical support experience.

Responsibilities

Conduct outbound calls to obtain missing or unclear benefit information.
Perform insurance and benefit investigations.
Handle inbound patient calls regarding application status and missing documentation.
Document findings and prepare summaries for providers.
Maintain accurate case notes in the Lynk system.
Assist patients with insurance coverage and financial assistance programs.
