This position provides administrative and programmatic supervision to staff, reviews case management plans for quality assurance, and develops guidelines for case management services. The role involves assigning caseloads, coordinating and monitoring staff activities, and holding conferences to review cases and problems. The supervisor evaluates staff performance, recommends personnel actions, and represents staff needs to senior management. They also prepare and implement internal operating policies and procedures, interpret program changes to staff, and train new employees. Additionally, the role involves determining staffing needs, maintaining records, preparing reports, participating in agency policy development, making decisions on controversial cases, authorizing emergency assistance, serving as a liaison to other agencies, and monitoring program expenditures. The supervisor also meets with community groups to discuss programs and resources and develops cooperative relationships with public and private entities. The role may act for the Director of Social Services as designated.
