About The Position

ID Technology is looking for an experienced Bench Technician to support our machinery manufacturing department. This position contributes to the success of the company by performing in-house repairs, troubleshooting equipment and components, and supporting assembly and other production-related duties when repair work is not required.

Requirements

  • Strong technical aptitude with electronics, mechanical, and electro-mechanical troubleshooting experience.
  • Ability to diagnose issues, troubleshoot to the component level when needed, and identify appropriate repair solutions.
  • Experience with machinery, manufacturing equipment, printing equipment, or similar industrial systems preferred.
  • Ability to perform electronic and mechanical assembly work, including installing components, units, and printed circuit boards according to specifications.
  • Ability to use electronic, hand, power, and pneumatic tools safely and effectively.
  • Ability to customize units and make adjustments or repairs according to written specifications.
  • Solid computer and typing skills, including the ability to use Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, and other business or production systems.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings, schematics, datasheets, and written work instructions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a manufacturing environment.
  • High school diploma or GED required.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in electronic technology, mechanical technology, or a related technical field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair equipment, components, and assemblies in a timely manner.
  • Evaluate repair needs, prepare cost estimates when needed, and make recommendations for repair, replacement, or further review.
  • Monitor in-house bench repairs to ensure appropriate turnaround time and quality workmanship.
  • Test repaired equipment and components to verify proper function before return to production, inventory, or customer use.
  • Accurately complete repair documentation, service records, parts usage, and related paperwork.
  • Support machinery assembly, subassembly builds, and production work when repair volume allows.
  • Install, adjust, and assemble mechanical and electronic components according to drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
  • Assist with general manufacturing, shop, and department support duties as assigned.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following company safety and quality procedures.
