CEM Corporation (Matthews, NC) is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Bench Technician to join our Service Depot team in Matthews, NC. In this role, you will be responsible for performing as-needed repairs and calibrations on microwave-based products. Tasks range from general maintenance to complete unit rebuilding, working on both customer-owned and in-house systems.

Requirements

• Associate’s Degree in Electronics or a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
• Technical background in electronics or electromechanical systems
• Proficiency in reading and understanding technical documentation and schematics
• Competence using basic hand tools
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough visual inspections and operational checks on incoming units
• Diagnose issues using fault isolation and troubleshooting techniques
• Execute necessary repairs on defective units
• Install software updates or hardware retrofits as required
• Calibrate systems and conduct final functional testing prior to return
• Accurately document all repair activities, including time, parts used, and resolution
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
