About The Position

ImpactLife is seeking a Bench Tech I for its Processing Laboratory. The role helps ensure the delivery of quality blood products to the communities ImpactLife serves by testing blood samples and performing quality control testing. This full-time position works second shift, Tuesday through Saturday, with rotating holiday and on-call responsibilities. Candidates should be detail-oriented, accurate, communicative, and able to work as part of a team. The position requires the ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds. Pre-employment background check and drug screen are required. ImpactLife is an independent community nonprofit blood center serving more than 120 hospitals and emergency medical service providers across Iowa, Illinois, Missouri, and Wisconsin. Its team has more than 800 employees.

Requirements

Very detail-oriented and accurate.
Strong communication skills and ability to work as a team player.
Ability to stand for long periods.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Pre-employment background check and drug screen are required.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in chemical, physical, biological, or clinical science is highly desired.
MT/MLS certification, with ASCP preferred, or MLT.
