About The Position
StandardAero is hiring an entry-level Bench Operator to prepare aircraft engine and compressor blades for repair using a variety of tools and equipment. On-the-job training and mentorship from experienced aviation maintenance professionals are provided. The role also offers opportunities to learn and support different areas of the shop as priorities change.
Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds without assistance.
- Ability to stand for at least 50% of the shift.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with hand tools and/or power tools.
- Previous experience reading or interpreting manuals, technical drawings, and/or blueprints.
- Flexibility to support different areas of the shop as priorities shift day to day.
- A team-player attitude and willingness to assist with duties outside the work scope.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate hand tools such as hammers, files, Dremels, drills, presses, pedestal grinders, and belt grinders.
- Operate low-temperature ovens and hand grinders to perform various operations.
- Blend, blast, and strip aircraft engine blades.
- Chase threads, deburr, check angles, coldwork metals, and mask components.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Support different areas of the shop as priorities shift.
