About The Position

Signet Jewelers is hiring entry-level and experienced jewelers for its Field Design & Service Center Team. Depending on current skillset, the role involves restoring jewelry, performing repairs, and designing custom, one-of-a-kind pieces. Team members provide a customer-first experience and work to exceed expectations for custom jewelry design and repairs. Signet offers training and continuous learning, with opportunities to develop from beginner to artisan in a promote-from-within environment. Pay is based on experience and qualifications.

Requirements

• High school degree or equivalent preferred, but not required.
• 1–3 years of bench jeweler or relevant skilled-trades experience working with fine metals.
• Pass a qualified bench test to assess current jeweler level.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Customer-service mindset and a high standard for quality work.
• Basic computer skills.
• Availability for varying hours, including some nights and weekends.
• Seasonal required overtime.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge or experience in stone setting, sizing, polishing, and jewelry repair.
• High school degree or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Restore jewelry to its original condition and perform jewelry repairs.
• Design and create custom jewelry pieces, depending on skillset.
• Deliver a customer-first experience that exceeds expectations for custom jewelry design and repairs.
• Perform relevant bench-jeweler work such as chain and clasp repair, prong retipping, stone setting, creating stone mountings, channel and platinum rebuilds, minor ring and other jewelry repairs, wax carving, fabrication, casting, custom design, and CAD/CAM design work.
