About The Position

This is an hourly position with a traditional schedule. The role involves performing strenuous tasks in a fast-paced and changing environment, with a focus on maintaining beltlines and related equipment in a mining setting. Safety compliance with state and federal mining laws is paramount, as is ensuring the safety of oneself and co-workers. The position requires self-motivation and a goal-oriented approach.

Requirements

WV Miner's Card - Black Hat (Required)
Operate equipment in a safe efficient manner
Use various hand tools
Lift, carry, push, pull – tools, materials and supplies 50 – 100 lbs. regularly.
Walk, bend, climb, reach, crawl as necessary
Work Closely with others in a team environment

Nice To Haves

Experience in building belt drives & transfers (Preferred)

Responsibilities

Comply with all state and federal mining laws
Watch out for the safety of self and other co-workers
Perform strenuous tasks in a fast paced and changing environment
Load and unload supplies
Experience with Belt and power moves
Change rollers during downtime
Install Mechanical splices
Install and change out belting
Maintain beltlines
Set and recover drives
Install and change out pulleys
Install and maintain scrapers
Preform transfer maintenance
Cutting and welding
Perform any other assigned tasks for which he or she is qualified by virtue of training or experience
