About The Position

This role involves operating belt line machines to produce abrasive rolls according to production orders and specifications. The operator will be responsible for setting up machines, measuring dimensions, conducting test runs, performing routine maintenance, and keeping accurate production records. Safety procedures and company policies must be followed at all times, and the work area must be maintained in a professional, clean, and safe manner. Other related duties may be assigned.

Requirements

Must demonstrate mechanical inclination.
Can proficiently read rulers.
Must have full operating knowledge of machine set up.
Knowledge of safety procedures related to operating machinery and handling materials.
Ability to use thinking or reasoning to solve a problem.
Attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in measurements and cuts.
Strong communication skills to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Review production orders and/or specifications to determine setting requirements for roll slitting machines.
Measure dimensions of abrasive rolls to verify conformance to specifications.
Conduct test runs of production equipment.
Perform routine maintenance on slitting machine.
Keep accurate records of production output.
Meet or exceed average daily production rates.
Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
Maintain a professional, clean and safe work area.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
