About The Position
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Production Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating press equipment to produce high-quality tile products, ensuring materials are prepared, processed, and inspected according to specifications. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced production environment that requires a strong focus on safety, quality, and efficiency. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with machinery, performing repetitive tasks, and maintaining high standards in a manufacturing setting.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required (or equivalent manufacturing experience)
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Basic math skills and understanding of units of measure
- Comfortable using computers for data entry and production tracking
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to adapt to changing production demands and priorities
- Willingness to work overtime as needed
Nice To Haves
- Previous manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred
- ERP experience a plus
Responsibilities
- Operate press machinery to produce tile products according to specifications
- Set up and program equipment for raw material mixing and processing
- Weigh, mix, and distribute materials into molds accurately
- Prepare molds, apply finishing materials, and remove finished products
- Trim, inspect, and stack finished goods according to quality standards
- Label and track inventory using appropriate documentation
- Perform ongoing visual inspections to identify defects
- Measure and verify product thickness and dimensions
- Ensure all products meet company quality standards throughout the production process
- Conduct pre-shift equipment inspections and basic preventive maintenance
- Clean and maintain presses, mixers, and surrounding work areas
- Report equipment issues promptly to maintenance and leadership
- Cross-train in other production areas to support operational needs
- Enter production data and review work orders using basic computer systems
- Participate in safety meetings and follow all safety protocols
- Assist in developing SOPs and production documentation as needed
