We are seeking supportive, collaborative, detailed-oriented people to join our team! This role involves escorting guests, assisting with luggage, explaining room features, providing information about hotel services and local attractions, maintaining the courtesy van, keeping the lobby and front port cochere tidy, and assisting other departments as needed. The position also includes driving guests around the property or local area in the hotel van, delivering messages and packages, and performing other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening in accordance with Company policy and applicable law.
  • A valid driver's license is required
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Minimum of a High School diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

  • Escort incoming hotel guests to their rooms and assist with luggage.
  • Inspect guest rooms to ensure they are in order and adequately stocked with supplies.
  • Explain room features such as television, telephone, and in-room movie systems.
  • Provide information about available hotel services, facilities, points of interest, and entertainment attractions.
  • Page guests in the lobby, dining areas, and other parts of the property.
  • Deliver messages and run errands as needed.
  • Maintain the courtesy van, including washing, cleaning, and fueling.
  • Raise, lower, and ensure proper handling of American, state, and brand flags.
  • Keep the lobby tidy, including trash disposal, cleaning seating areas, front doors, and floors.
  • Maintain the front port cochere by picking up trash, cleaning oil leaks, shoveling snow, melting ice, and hosing off sidewalks.
  • Attend and participate in monthly front desk meetings.
  • Assist other departments as necessary.
  • Occasionally deliver room service orders and pick up articles for laundry and valet service.
  • Call taxis for guests and transport them around the property or local area in the hotel van.
  • Maintain records of service calls.
  • Deliver packages, suitcases, and trunks.
  • Report to work for scheduled shifts, on time, and in uniform according to company policy.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures related to this position.
  • Greet guests in a friendly and warm manner.
