Requirements

  • High School diploma
  • Previous Bell/Valet experience in a hotel environment preferred
  • Reading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English language
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel
  • Must possess legal work authorization in the United States

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests arriving by private car and assist them with exiting their vehicles.
  • Issue appropriate valet parking tickets and explain parking procedures and pricing when the Door Staff is unavailable.
  • Greet guests and escort them to their rooms.
  • Deliver luggage to rooms upon check-in and pick up luggage from rooms upon departure, transporting it to storage or the Front Drive.
  • Maintain proper records of luggage deliveries and pick-ups.
  • Assess any damage to vehicles when the Doorman is not available, noting it on the claim ticket along with the vehicle's parking location.
  • Deposit keys and tickets with the Valet Cashier.
  • Drive guest vehicles to the hotel or local garage, adhering to all traffic regulations and speed limits, exercising caution to prevent damage to the vehicle and others.
  • Yield to pedestrians.
  • Provide guests with directions, recommendations, and information about the city and its attractions.
  • Hail taxis as needed.
  • Retrieve guest vehicles promptly and safely.
  • Handle all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests and resolving customer complaints.
  • Assist guests with inquiries regarding hotel services, operating hours, key personnel, in-house events, and directions.
  • Greet all guests in the lobby and offer assistance.
  • Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.
  • Perform shoeshine service, including picking up, cleaning, polishing, and returning shoes to the guest.
  • Run errands for guests and the hotel, which may involve local travel off the hotel property.
  • Provide house car services for guest transportation to and from the hotel within a 3-mile radius.
