About The Position

The Sagamore Resort is looking to add a Bell Person / Valet to our team! The Bellman is responsible for providing exceptional guest service to all hotel guests, ensuring their luggage is handled with care and efficiently transported to and from their rooms. The Bellman also assists guests with transportation arrangements, valet parking, and other guest requests as needed.

Requirements

Ability to lift and carry heavy luggage (up to 50 pounds)
Ability to stand, walk, and run for extended periods
Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities

Great and escort all incoming guests to rooms while assisting with luggage
Open doors and assist guests entering and leaving the property
Assist guests in and out of vehicles including assisting guests with loading and unloading luggage
Assist with luggage storage and retrieval
Deliver packages, suitcases, amenities, flowers etc.
Valet vehicles using standard procedures
Responsible for a clean appearance of self and uniforms
Transport guests around the property on a golf cart when necessary
Knowledgeable of all events, activities, and points of interest throughout the resort
Work in all weather conditions
Complete daily side work such as polishing bell carts, sweeping/shoveling, keeping lobby fire burning etc.
Ensure public areas are maintained and clean
Other duties may be assigned
