About The Position

This is a part-time weekend position focused on providing direct care to residents with primary mental health diagnoses and/or co-occurring disorders. The role involves implementing client treatment plans, stabilizing crisis situations, and assisting residents with daily living skills such as cooking, housekeeping, laundry, and personal hygiene. The Behavioral Technician will also oversee medication administration, observe resident behavior, monitor progress, and communicate with the treatment team. A key aspect of the role is to serve as a positive role model, offering guidance through motivational interviewing and collaborating with external providers, family members, and significant others. The position also involves facilitating programming using evidence-based behavioral management techniques.

Requirements

HSD/GED
A valid driver's license and car insurance
Ability to work 3rd shift from 12am midnight to 8am on Friday and Saturdays, including holidays.
CPR/First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain one
Ability to regularly use various computer apps including Microsoft Office, our HRIS, EHR and other online systems, with multiple logins often simultaneously.
Willingness to submit background check and fingerprinting

Responsibilities

Oversee the direct care of residents during designated working hours under the guidance of the Residential Manager.
Work with clients admitted on an emergency status to reduce distress and stabilize crisis situations.
Oversee residents' cooking, housekeeping, laundry, and personal hygiene skills.
Oversee residents in taking their medications.
Observe residents' behavior and functioning.
Monitor progress on treatment plans.
Communicate with appropriate team members.
Offer encouragement for residents to be involved in their own treatment.
Serve as a positive role model for residents.
Provide ongoing guidance using motivational interviewing.
Work in cooperation with other providers, family members, or significant others involved in residents' recovery plans.
Facilitate programming using evidence-based behavioral management techniques.
