About The Position

Pediatric Developmental Services (PDS) is hiring full-time Behavioral Support Staff Personnel to support students in a school setting. The role includes bus aide responsibilities, helping students with disabilities travel safely and assisting with their individual needs. Staff may also help with other tasks in the school as needed. The position offers a competitive hourly rate and benefits, including health, dental, and vision insurance with a company contribution and an IRA with company matching.

Responsibilities

Assist students with disabilities in boarding and exiting the bus safely.
Ensure students are seated and secured properly during transit.
Support students with mobility challenges, including assisting with wheelchairs and other mobility aids.
Monitor student behavior and maintain a safe, orderly environment on the bus.
Communicate with the bus driver and school staff about transportation issues or concerns.
Attend to individual student needs, including personal care tasks when necessary.
Follow safety protocols and emergency procedures during bus incidents or emergencies.
Help with other tasks in the school when needed.
