We are a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to developing interventions that enable individuals to avoid unnecessary levels of incarceration, enhance community safety and provide a setting that facilitates treatment and the reduction of recidivism. We operate residential and other correctional programs throughout Wisconsin that provide case management, counseling and treatment groups, vocational training and high-risk client monitoring and supervision. As a Behavioral Support Assistant, you'll be part of a team that helps residents develop the daily living skills and structure needed for long-term success. What You'll Do As a Behavioral Support Assistant, you will: Maintain a safe and structured environment for residents Monitor resident activities, behavior, and whereabouts Build professional, respectful relationships while maintaining appropriate boundaries Document daily activities, progress notes, and incident reports Conduct routine facility and safety checks Assist with resident accountability measures, including assigned chores and program activities Support meal preparation and household responsibilities that help residents build independent living skills Encourage responsibility, initiative, and positive decision-making Qualifications: What We're Looking For Required Qualifications At least 21 years of age High School Diploma or equivalent One year of experience working with correctional clients or similar populations Ideal Candidates Will Have Strong communication and interpersonal skills The ability to remain calm, professional, and objective Sound judgment and independent decision-making skills Experience maintaining records and documentation A commitment to confidentiality and ethical conduct The ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds Great Experience For Individuals Interested In: Criminal Justice Corrections Human Services Social Work Psychology Substance Use Treatment Community Reentry Programs Behavioral Health Make a Difference Every Shift The work is challenging, rewarding, and important. Requirements
