About The Position

Partners with all education staff levels to ensure effective implementation and quality control of the program model. Provides administrative intervention for students utilizing a behavioral approach to promote learning. Receives students from classrooms or office whenever necessary to address behavioral or attendance problems and de-escalates inappropriate behavior utilizing prescribed administrative intervention procedures. Supervises hallways and areas of student movement during class breaks and before and after school; supervises in-school suspension, mediation essays, and other office consequences. Ensures safety by coordinating the repair of faulty equipment and facilities with the Maintenance Department and supervising fire drills and other school emergency procedures. Assumes responsibility for the academic and social skills growth of each student, cares for student health and well-being during the school day. Monitors student progress, oversees field trips, and provides positive reinforcement to students to foster and maintain improvements in behavior. Communicates with other professionals regarding individual student needs and progress; provides consultation to parents or guardians, and school staff regarding student behavior and consequences. Prepares monthly reports for office referrals. Performs key administrative and analytical activities related to implementation and evaluation of program performance. Coordinates required resources necessary for implementation. Ensures model is being implemented according to approved scope, schedule, budget, and objectives. Utilizes reporting tools to support effective and efficient measurement, analysis, and communication of program performance, progress, and compliance. Works closely with program and school leadership teams to jointly diagnose implementation issues and develop effective solutions. Coordinates teacher mentoring program. Facilitates and maintains quality control of the program model; analyzes and recommends processes for improvement. Monitors and analyzes program performance and makes recommendations as appropriate. Provides input to school leadership regarding Model Implementation. Supports and leads the collaborative, development, or enhancement of tools and processes for the purpose of improved efficiencies. Ensures that Research, Training, Evaluation, and Program Audit are kept current with program protocols and guiding principles. Prepares monitoring, evaluation, and progress reports for the stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited school OR four years of experience with Boys Town model required.
  • Minimum of 3 years related experience required.
  • Experience with the Boys Town Model required.
  • CPR certification obtained during pre-service training required.
  • Nationally recognized personal restraint model must be obtained during pre-service training required.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and business thinking skills.
  • Interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to successfully lead a team of associates.
  • Ability to identify and resolve issues with a sense of urgency.
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word; proficient in SharePoint.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels in the organization and with external contacts in an articulate, professional manner while maintaining necessary degree of confidentiality.
  • Ability to adapt responses to situations while maintaining procedural and regulatory integrity.
  • Must have and maintain sufficient mental acuity and physical strength, agility, and endurance to perform all job requirements (including stressful situations - physically, mentally, and emotionally) encountered on the job without compromising the health and well-being of self, fellow employees, and youth or families.
  • Must have sufficient vision, hearing, speech and the mobility to monitor youth, actively participate in safety procedures, and participate in physical activities with youth.
  • Ability to push and pull at least 80 pounds of force, lift up to 50 pounds, carry safely up to 30 pounds, as well as the ability to reach overhead, bend, and squat with ease.
