Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field
  • 1-2 years of experience working with children and families in a behavioral health or social service setting
  • Demonstrated experience in trauma-informed care preferred
  • Previous experience with crisis intervention and behavior modification techniques
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours and travel within the service area
  • Clean driving record and valid driver's license
  • Proficiency in documentation and reporting
  • Ability to pass background check and drug screening

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct intervention services to children and families within their home and community setting.
  • Collaborate with Treatment team members, school personnel, family members, referral agencies, etc. to ensure appropriate interventions are being provided based on client progress and/or need to amend intervention services.
  • Provide coaching and appropriate modeling of behavior for the purpose of decreasing negative behaviors of the client and/or family.
  • Provide crisis intervention when needed at school, home and in the community.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation to ensure smooth billing processes that comply with Medicaid and other regulatory standards.
  • Participate in all identified in-service training courses according to regulatory body and company policy.
  • Participate in all individual and group clinical supervision sessions.
  • Submit accurate, required notes and complete required reports within assigned timeframes.
  • Meet with designated clients for the prescribed number of hours/days/contacts per week.
  • Be prepared to use your personal vehicle to support client transportation when needed, with mileage reimbursement provided.
