About The Position

Join Cross Country Education and help students succeed one day at a time! We're seeking dependable Behavioral Intervention Specialists (BIIs) to provide individualized support that empowers students to achieve greater independence and success in the classroom throughout the 2026–2027 school year in Manhattan Beach, CA. Provide one-on-one and small group instructional and behavioral support to students with special education needs, reinforcing classroom instruction and promoting academic, social, and functional growth. Implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and Behavior Support Plans (BSPs), utilizing evidence-based behavioral strategies while monitoring student progress and documenting outcomes. Assist students with daily living activities, personal care, mobility, and community-based learning as needed, while maintaining a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment. Collaborate with teachers and school staff to prepare instructional materials, support classroom activities, and encourage positive student engagement and independence.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI) Certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
  • Experience supporting students with special education needs in an educational or behavioral setting, including the ability to assist with personal care needs and maintain consistent attendance

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Behavioral Science, or a related field preferred
  • Experience with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) preferred
