Behavior instructors work with clients to assist them in learning social skills, improved school behaviors, and coping skills to help youth better understand and deal with issues requiring treatment. After training, B.I.’s utilize Teaching Family Model procedures to assist youth in accomplishing these objectives, including various behavior interventions aimed at reinforcing progress and positive behaviors, and using a youth-centered motivation system. Behavior Instructors also receive training on safe de-escalation techniques, learning theory, and other vital topics with 24/7 coaching and support from management staff.
