Midwest Center for Youth and Families, a subsidiary of UHS, has been serving youth with psychiatric treatment needs since 1997. It is a fully accredited, 74-bed private, residential treatment facility with locations in Valparaiso and Kouts, IN. The center is dedicated to providing compassionate and high-quality behavioral healthcare services through its full-immersion Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) program for children and adolescents aged 10-18 who struggle with emotional, behavioral, and mental health challenges. The Behavioral Health Worker is a crucial member of the treatment team, working full-time, 40 hours per week. Available schedules include Sunday-Thursday and Tuesday-Saturday, with premium pay for certain schedules and shifts. The facility is also hiring for day, evening, and overnight shifts, as well as Per Diem/PRN positions. The ideal candidate is driven by a desire to make a difference, possesses strong empathy and emotional intelligence, and is physically and mentally fit to care for patients. They are attentive during both quiet times and crisis situations, finding satisfaction in patient progress and family gratitude.
