Midwest Center for Youth and Families, a subsidiary of UHS, has been serving youth in need of psychiatric treatment since 1997. It is a 74-bed private, residential treatment facility with locations in Valparaiso and Kouts, IN, specializing in a full-immersion Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) program for children and adolescents ages 10-18 who struggle with emotional, behavioral, and mental health challenges. The Behavioral Health Worker is a crucial part of the treatment team, working full-time, 40 hours per week. Available schedules include Sunday-Thursday and Tuesday-Saturday, with schedule premiums for these shifts. A competitive shift differential is offered for evening, night, and weekend shifts. Current openings are for the evening shift (3pm - 11pm) and overnight shift (11pm - 7:30am). Per Diem/PRN positions are also available, requiring one weekday and one weekend day per biweekly pay period. The ideal candidate is driven by making a difference, empathetic, physically and mentally fit, diligent, attentive, and possesses high emotional and social intelligence. Satisfaction comes from patient progress and positive feedback from families.
