The Behavioral Health Tutor in the Youth Crisis Stabilization Unit (YCSU) plays a critical role in supporting the educational needs of youth (typically ages 10–17) experiencing acute behavioral health crises. The tutor works in a trauma-informed, therapeutic environment alongside mental health professionals to deliver individualized or small-group academic instruction, promote continuity of education, and support students’ return to their home schools or programs.
