About The Position

Galileo is seeking a culturally sensitive and thoughtful therapist to join their digital-first, primary-care medical group on a part-time basis. In this role, you will utilize data, technology, and operational rigor to deliver therapy to a diverse patient population. You will provide integrated behavioral health care within a team of primary and specialty care providers, focusing on clinical quality and patient-centricity. You will maintain a caseload of patients, conducting 30 to 45-minute therapy sessions for Galileo patients residing in a state of licensure, with set blocks of time to support patients each week. The role involves working with a diverse patient population and solving patient problems efficiently and resourcefully, collaborating with team members to leverage their expertise.

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience with providing teletherapy (text-based, video, phone) and integrating technology and data into practice/care provision
  • Trained with evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT)
  • Comfortable with providing safety planning and intervention during situations where a client might present with higher risks
  • Licensed and credentialed to support patients with clinical concerns such as anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma
  • Active license as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), and/or equivalent
  • Active license in CA required.

Nice To Haves

  • Additional licenses in TX, TN, MA, MD and/or OR is a plus.
  • Professionally fluent in Spanish including reading, writing, speaking, and understanding the cultural nuances for native Spanish speakers in a medical setting
