About The Position

Western NC Community Health Services (WNCCHS) is seeking a compassionate and skilled Behavioral Health Therapist to provide comprehensive behavioral health services within an integrated primary care environment. This role involves assessment, treatment planning, crisis intervention, and solution-focused, evidence-based therapeutic interventions. The therapist will collaborate closely with primary care providers, behavioral health staff, and the broader interdisciplinary team, serving individuals across the lifespan.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in social work or clinical mental health counseling.
  • Fully licensed with LCSW or dually licensed with LCMHC and LCAS.
  • Experience providing behavioral health services in primary care, integrated care, and/or community health settings.
  • Experience completing clinical assessments, developing treatment plans, and delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary and integrated care teams.
  • Skilled at working in fast-paced environments and maintaining professionalism under pressure.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally and compassionately with patients, families, and a diverse healthcare team.
  • Collaborative, team-focused communication style with the ability to work effectively across clinical and community settings.
  • Working knowledge of medical office operations and familiarity with the role of Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) within the community.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience functioning as a Behavioral Health Care Manager within the Psychiatric Collaborative Care Model (CoCM).
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive behavioral health services within an integrated primary care environment.

  • Perform crisis intervention.
  • Collaborate closely with primary care providers, behavioral health staff, and the broader interdisciplinary team.
  • Function as a Behavioral Health Care Manager within the Psychiatric Collaborative Care Model (CoCM).
