About The Position

UPMC’s Integrated Advanced Care Providers (IACP) is looking for a Behavioral Health Therapist II (BHTII) to join the team! The IACP professional practice recognizes PCP's as primary mental health partners. Our BHTII will work primarily with an adult population as a part of a Primary Care Treatment Team. The purpose of this job is to be part of a collaborative care team in both the Oakland and Bethel Park/South Hills areas that provides behavioral health assessments and treatment to service patients who have a behavioral health diagnosis. This position requires travel to Oakland and Bethel Park as well as remote work when possible. Production Incentive Available Our Behavioral Health Therapist is eligible for a Sign on Bonus!! 1-year work commitment--$5,000 2-year work commitment--$7,000 3-year work commitment--$10,000

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Education in school counseling, or related field required.
  • ATTENTION: A COPY OF YOUR GRADUATE-LEVEL TRANSCRIPTS MUST BE ATTACHED FOR CONSIDERATION.
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Marriage Family Therapist (LMFT) or Clinical Social Worker (CSW) is required.
  • Two years of clinical experience diagnosing and treating behavioral and psychiatric conditions required.
  • Knowledge of psychiatric evaluation and assessment process, as well as application of current version of the DSM required.
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Marriage Family Therapist (LMFT) or Clinical Social Worker (CSW) is required.
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  • Clinical Social Worker (CSW) OR Licensed Certified Social Worker (LCSW) OR Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist OR Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
  • Comprehensive Crisis Management (CCMC)
  • Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal
  • Act 33 with renewal
  • Act 34 with renewal
  • Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal

Responsibilities

  • Maintain daily clinical productivity records.
  • Provide individual and group therapy in various settings (home, school, community), involving families and educating patients on recovery.
  • Participate in treatment team meetings to review cases, update plans, and coordinate care.
  • Use evidence-based treatment approaches and adapt them as needed.
  • Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Support regulatory and licensure activities with leadership.
  • Manage administrative tasks related to patient care independently.
  • Document all clinical activities promptly and accurately.
  • Continuously develop clinical skills and apply new treatment methods.
  • Review complex cases with supervisors and clinical staff.
  • Ensure timely clinical documentation and support insurance authorization.
  • Mentor student interns and contribute to quality improvement efforts.
  • Adjust treatment plans based on changing patient needs and program guidelines.
  • Coordinate referrals to other care levels or community resources as appropriate.
