About The Position

The Behavioral Health Therapist II will support The CADD Child Outpatient Clinic; a team focused on serving children and adolescents with autism and other developmental disorders. We provide evidence-based diagnostic assessments and outpatient treatment. In addition, we conduct cutting-edge research and serve as a training site for graduate students/residents. The hire for this position will be responsible for providing treatment to patients with autism, intellectual disabilities, and a variety of behavioral, and/or mental health concerns. Will provide diagnostic interviews/assessments with patients and families as well as coordinate with care teams to plan behavioral health treatment across levels of care. The ideal candidate for this position will have prior experience working with children and adolescents with autism and intellectual disabilities. Must be licensed in the state of Pennsylvania. This position will work out of two different locations and is a Monday through Friday daylight position. Must have the flexibility to accommodate some early evening hours when needed by the department. The dress code is business casual. Sign-On Bonuses up to $10,000!

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Education in school counseling, or related field required.
  • Two years of clinical experience diagnosing and treating behavioral and psychiatric conditions required.
  • Knowledge of psychiatric evaluation and assessment process, as well as application of current version of the DSM required.
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Marriage Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  • Clinical Social Worker (CSW) OR Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist OR Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
  • Comprehensive Crisis Management (CCMC)
  • Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal
  • Act 33 with renewal
  • Act 34 with renewal
  • Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Record Keeping: Maintains daily records of clinical productivity.
  • Therapy: Provides individual and group therapy to patients in home, school, and community settings, engaging families in assessment and treatment when indicated.
  • Education: Educates patients on recovery as appropriate.
  • Team Meetings: Participates in regular treatment team meetings to discuss clinical cases, update treatment plans, monitor progress, and recommend referrals.
  • Treatment Approach: Utilizes relevant, evidence-based treatment approaches.
  • Assessments: Conducts assessments of new patients and documents clinical decisions regarding treatment and referrals.
  • Treatment Plans: Creates and adapts treatment plans to meet the diverse needs of patients.
  • Regulatory Activities: Participates in regulatory and licensure preparation activities.
  • Administrative Competency: Manages administrative responsibilities with minimal supervision, including caseload management and group census.
  • Documentation: Documents all assessments, treatment sessions, and case management activities according to guidelines.
  • Skill Development: Continuously grows clinical skills by learning and implementing new treatment approaches.
  • Case Reviews: Reviews cases and serious patient condition changes with supervisors and clinical personnel.
  • Timely Documentation: Completes clinical documentation on the same day of service delivery and provides necessary information to ensure service authorization.
  • Mentoring: Participates in mentoring student interns.
  • Quality Assurance: Engages in quality assurance and performance improvement activities.
  • Patient Needs Assessment: Assesses changing patient needs and incorporates them into treatment plans.
  • Service Referrals: Discusses additional service needs with the clinical team and refers patients to appropriate levels of care or community services
