About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is a nationwide network of drug and alcohol rehab centers with eighteen locations across seven states, known for its evidence-based clinical curriculum and individualized care. The organization offers programs including detox, residential, PHP, IOP, and outpatient services. Avenues Recovery Center is currently hiring Behavioral Health Technicians for its facility in Covington, LA. This residential facility provides drug and alcohol detoxification and inpatient rehabilitation services, featuring highly individualized treatment plans and compassionate care. The Covington center is staffed by a round-the-clock team of doctors, nurses, psychiatric specialists, addiction counselors, behavioral health technicians, and CNAs, utilizing evidence-based therapy modalities such as CBT, DBT, EMDR, MAT, and Motivational Interviewing. The facility is spacious, inviting, and fully wheelchair-accessible, designed to provide a serene and soothing environment conducive to recovery.

Requirements

If in recovery, a minimum one - year period of sustained sobriety required
Strong interpersonal and multitasking skills
Warm, compassionate and empathetic personality
Dignified character that models recovery principles

Nice To Haves

High School diploma or GED preferred
Valid Driver's license and CPR certification preferred

Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day operational support to medical and clinical teams (admissions, transportation, meals, medication, supervision, phones etc.)
Engage and build rapport with clients, creating a warm, accepting recovery environment
Monitor clients and enforce all Avenues policies to ensure safety of both clients and staff
Record and escalate any critical communication/ incidents in a timely manner
Fulfill all administrative duties (shift documentation, inventory, meetings, office support etc.)
