The Behavioral Health Technician provides direct care to patients in Munson Healthcare’s six-bed Pediatric Crisis Residential Program, a short-term residential treatment program for youth ages 8–17 experiencing a behavioral health crisis. The program offers 24/7, trauma-informed care in a safe, home-like setting as an alternative to inpatient psychiatric hospitalization. During a typical 7–14 day stay, residents receive individualized treatment, including therapy, medication management, skill-building, and family involvement, to help stabilize their mental health and prepare for a successful return home, school, and community. The role is part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team providing compassionate, evidence-based care to youth and families. The technician supports safety and comfort in the behavioral health therapeutic environment, builds supportive relationships with patients, and completes clinical reports and documentation professionally and on time. The position is for night hours, 7 p.m.–7 a.m.
