About The Position

Oakwood Springs is seeking a full-time Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) for their facility in Oklahoma City, OK. This role is responsible for supporting the therapeutic milieu under the direction of the RN, ensuring the consistent delivery of the schedule/program, patient supervision, safety maintenance, and treating patients and guests with respect and dignity. The position requires the technician to be at least 21 years of age and offers a 3x12 schedule, working days from 7 am to 7 pm. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Will require valid driver’s license and a favorable Motor Vehicle Report (MVR), along with proof of insurance when using personal or hospital owned vehicle
• CPR certification within 30 days of employment and prior to patient contact
• Crisis Prevention Training (CPI) within 30 days of employment and prior to patient contact
• Completion of additional age specific training within 30 days of employment as required
• Where applicable, must obtain and maintain agency affiliation
• Previous experience in a psychiatric health facility, with direct experience working with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, psychiatric and geriatric patients preferred
