About The Position

Cottonwood Springs is a 108-bed behavioral health facility offering adult mental health and substance use treatment services. The facility includes four 24-bed units (Meadows, Sunrise, Cedars, and Prairie) and one 12-bed unit (Sunflower), specializing in depression, anxiety, psychosis, thought disorders, and substance detoxification. Cottonwood Springs fosters a trauma-informed, team-centered culture where RNs and BHTs work collaboratively and are equally valued. A Behavioral Health Tech (BHT) who excels in this role is responsible for supporting the therapeutic milieu under the direction of the RN, by ensuring that the schedule/program is consistently delivered, patients are supervised, that safety is maintained, and patients and guests are treated with respect and dignity. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • CPR and de‑escalation certification required within 30 days of hire.
  • 1 year of experience working in a psychiatric inpatient setting.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a psychiatric health‑care facility with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, psychiatric, or geriatric patients preferred.

Responsibilities
