About The Position

Join a mission-driven, trauma-informed, patient-centered team supporting adolescents (12–17) in mental health treatment, recovery, and life-skills development. As a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT), you’ll partner with licensed clinicians to provide direct patient care, crisis intervention, de-escalation, and therapeutic engagement. We internally promote. If you’re going to school to be a Mental Health Therapist, we have a proven track record of helping you grow and supporting interns in earning clinical hours. Requirements

• 21+ with HS diploma/GED
• Ability to stand, move quickly, and support crisis stabilization
• Must pass background and drug screening per MO law

Nice To Haves

• Degree in human services preferred
• 1+ year in behavioral health, education, coaching, or youth services (preferred)
• Willingness for CPR/First Aid, physical intervention training (provided)
• Bonus for prior mental health or youth experience

Responsibilities

• Facilitate group activities (art, music, recreation) to build coping skills
• Provide behavioral support, mentoring, and structured routines
• Use evidence-based, trauma-informed care techniques
• Document progress and collaborate with clinical teams
• Respond to escalations using safe intervention protocols
