About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is hiring a Behavioral Health Technician at its Lake Ariel residential facility, a 60-bed center providing drug and alcohol detoxification and inpatient rehabilitation. The role supports daily residential operations and helps maintain a safe, structured, warm, and positive recovery environment. The technician provides leadership and support to the BHT team, oversees client engagement and morale, and promotes compliance with Avenues policies and procedures. Concerns or crises are escalated to the Lead Behavioral Health Technician.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• One year of experience in the recovery field.
• Valid driver's license and CPR certification preferred.
• If in recovery, at least one year of sustained sobriety.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Warm, empathetic personality and ability to set firm boundaries.
• Dignified, honest character that models recovery principles.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily residential operations, including intake, supervision, events, transportation, food service, and medications.
• Train and support the BHT team in its operations and responsibilities.
• Escalate concerns or crises to the Lead Behavioral Health Technician.
• Oversee client engagement and morale while maintaining a warm and positive recovery environment.
• Ensure clients and BHTs comply with Avenues rules, policies, and procedures.
