Behavioral Health Technicians provide one-on-one interventions to a child or adolescent at home, school, and/or community setting when the behavior without this intervention would require a more restrictive treatment or educational setting. This role involves working with a 1st-grade student in a school setting, with potential for additional hours in home and community settings. The technician will implement behavior modification treatment plans, utilize prescribed interventions for problematic behaviors, and model techniques for the treatment team and family members to promote appropriate behavior and facilitate service discharge. Collaboration with the treatment team and documentation of progress are key aspects of the role.
