About The Position
Avenues Recovery Center is hiring Behavioral Health Technicians for second- and third-shift work at its Eastern Shore location. The role manages daily residential operations, supports and trains the BHT team, monitors client engagement and morale, and helps maintain a positive recovery environment while ensuring compliance with facility policies and procedures. The facility provides inpatient drug and alcohol rehabilitation services in a 100-bed residential setting.
Requirements
- A valid driver's license and CPR certification are required.
- If in recovery, at least one year of sustained sobriety is required.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- A warm, empathetic personality and the ability to set firm boundaries.
- Dignified, honest character that models recovery principles.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily residential operations, including intake, supervision, events, transportation, food service, and medications.
- Train and support the BHT team in its operations and responsibilities.
- Escalate concerns or crises to the Lead Behavioral Health Technician.
- Oversee client engagement and morale, maintaining a warm and positive recovery environment.
- Ensure clients and BHTs comply with Avenues rules, policies, and procedures.
