About The Position

Oakwood Springs is seeking a Behavioral Health Tech (BHT) for a full-time night shift position. The BHT is responsible for supporting the therapeutic milieu under the direction of the RN, by ensuring that the schedule/program is consistently delivered, patients are supervised, safety is maintained, and patients and guests are treated with respect and dignity. Oakwood Springs is a behavioral health hospital located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, providing inpatient and outpatient programming for individuals facing mental health and addiction challenges. They offer specialized programming for active duty military, veterans, first responders, and other high-risk frontline professionals.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• CPR certification within 30 days of employment and prior to patient contact
• Crisis Prevention Training (CPI) within 30 days of employment and prior to patient contact
• Completion of additional age specific training within 30 days of employment as required
• Will require valid driver’s license and a favorable Motor Vehicle Report (MVR), along with proof of insurance when using personal or hospital owned vehicle

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a psychiatric health facility, with direct experience working with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, psychiatric and geriatric patients preferred
