Behavioral Health Technician (BHT)
About The Position
Behavioral Health Tech (BHT) - Assessment. This is a Full-Time position with a Mid Shift schedule, working Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, 4x10 hours per day (either 12pm-10pm or 1pm-11pm). Cottonwood Springs, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Behavioral Health Tech to join their team. The role involves assisting the assessment team in rounding on patients, escorting patients, generating paperwork/packets for admissions, and assisting with administration work. Cottonwood Springs is a behavioral health hospital in Olathe, KS, providing inpatient and outpatient programming for adults facing mental health and addiction challenges.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in a psychiatric hospital setting providing care across shifts and populations
- CPR and de-escalation certification required within 30 days of hire
Responsibilities
- Assisting assessment team in rounding on patients
