About The Position

Saint Mary’s Regional Medical Center, part of Lifepoint Health, is hiring a PRN Behavioral Health Technician at its Russellville, Arkansas location. The role supports patients’ daily living needs and provides direct care, diagnostic procedures, and therapeutic interventions in a patient-centered behavioral health unit. Staff work collaboratively to provide safe, high-quality care through teamwork, compassion, and clear communication. The position includes observing and documenting patient behavior, reporting changes to nursing staff, and providing crisis intervention to help maintain safety.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CNA license required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 45 days of hire.
• Handle with Care (HWC) certification required within 45 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Six months of experience in a mental health or psychiatric position.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living.
• Provide or assist with direct patient care, diagnostic procedures, and therapeutic interventions.
• Observe and record patient behavior and activities.
• Report changes in patients’ physical, mental, or emotional condition to nursing staff and suggest modifications to treatment plans.
• Provide crisis intervention for incoming calls and on the unit to maintain safety.
• Review and comply with the LifePoint Code of Conduct and relevant company and division policies and procedures.
