About The Position

Pyramid Healthcare is hiring a full-time Behavioral Health Technician for its Joppa inpatient program in Harford County, Maryland. The program provides treatment for substance use disorders, methamphetamine and other stimulant use, co-occurring disorders, and opioid addiction through a methadone maintenance program. The position is a direct-care role focused on interacting with and supervising clients in treatment. The listed shift is second shift. Pay is $15 per hour before shift differentials; the posting lists differentials for various shifts and days.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Candidates selected for hire must pass a criminal background check, drug screening, and any required state-mandated clearances; employment is contingent on meeting applicable screening requirements.

Nice To Haves

• Behavioral health or general healthcare experience.
• Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

• Complete intake for new clients entering the program.
• Maintain accurate client documentation.
• Observe and document client self-administration of medication, as applicable.
• Coordinate client activities.
• Follow treatment-plan objectives and address client-specific needs.
• Evaluate clients’ behavioral and emotional needs and respond appropriately, including providing crisis intervention.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly physical environment.
• Assist with clients’ dietary needs.
• Complete required training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
