Behavioral Health Technician
About The Position
The Behavioral Health Specialist provides client supervision and care as part of the treatment team. The role supervises and facilitates the daily milieu of assigned programs and services, including assistance with activities of daily living, educational and community/recovery groups, and activity therapy. The technician reads and implements clients’ treatment plans and provides positive cues and redirection. This is a full-time position at Gemini in Tucson, Arizona. The scheduled shift is Sunday through Tuesday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Wednesday, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. This is designated as a safety-sensitive position and is subject to pre-employment screening and the employer’s drug- and alcohol-free workplace policy.
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age due to automobile insurance requirements.
- Possess a valid Arizona driver’s license and a clean or acceptable driving record.
- Pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
- Be able to obtain and maintain Arizona Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance.
- Meet one of the following education and experience pathways: bachelor’s or master’s degree with no experience necessary; associate degree plus one year of behavioral health work experience; high school diploma or GED plus Peer Support Specialist certification and two years of behavioral health work experience; or high school diploma or GED plus four years of behavioral health work experience.
