Since its founding in 1985, Queen of Peace Center (QOPC) has been providing family-centered behavioral healthcare for women, children, and families. As a member of the Federation of Catholic Charities, we serve the metropolitan and surrounding St. Louis area through four core programs: prevention, education, treatment, and housing. Job Summary Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of St. Louis, Queen of Peace Center, is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT). This role will play a vital role in supporting individuals on their recovery journey in a residential treatment setting. Under the supervision of the Program Manager and Lead Behavioral Health Technician, the BHT provides direct client support, ensures a safe and therapeutic environment, and promotes engagement in treatment and recovery-focused activities. Responsibilities include supervising clients, facilitating therapeutic and psychoeducational groups, conducting client intakes and orientations, monitoring client progress, documenting services in the Electronic Health Record (EHR), assisting with crisis intervention, obtaining vital signs, supporting medication-related procedures, and maintaining compliance with program policies and HIPAA standards. The ideal candidate is compassionate, dependable, and skilled in trauma-informed care, de-escalation techniques, documentation, and client engagement. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping clients achieve treatment goals while fostering safety, stability, and hope in a structured residential environment. This is a full time position working a minimum of 40 hours per week and the starting wage is $18 per hour.
