About The Position

Camber Children’s Mental Health in Wichita, KS is seeking a compassionate Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to join their team. In this vital role, you will provide care, supervision, and support to help young people achieve their treatment goals in a safe and therapeutic environment. Camber gives children and families hope. As a Behavioral Health Technician, you will play a key role in supporting our mission by helping children and youth build coping skills, learn positive behaviors, and work toward healing and growth.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED from an accredited high school
• Valid Driver’s License and auto insurance
• Must be at least 20 years old to apply
• Pre-employment drug screen and background check required

Nice To Haves

• 1–3 months of related experience and/or training working with adults or children in a behavioral health care or similar environment preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care and supervision to children and youth in our facility
• Support daily activities and reinforce treatment plans developed by nurses and therapists
• Teach coping techniques and positive behavior skills
• Document client activity and progress
• Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment for all clients
