About The Position

Saint Mary's Regional Health System is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician to provide direct care and support to patients in a patient-centered behavioral health environment. The unit emphasizes teamwork, compassion, clear communication, and safe, high-quality care. The role includes assisting patients with daily living activities, supporting diagnostic and therapeutic care, monitoring patient behavior and condition, and providing crisis intervention. The position is full-time, days, with weekends that may vary.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Six months of experience in a mental health or psychiatric position.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 45 days of hire.
• Handle with Care (HWC) certification within 45 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living.
• Provide or assist with direct patient care, diagnostic procedures, and therapeutic interventions.
• Observe and record patient behavior and activities.
• Report changes in patients' physical, mental, or emotional condition to nursing staff and suggest modifications to treatment plans.
• Provide crisis intervention for incoming calls and on the unit to maintain safety.
• Review and comply with the LifePoint Code of Conduct and relevant Company and Division policies and procedures.
