About The Position

Diversified Treatment Alternative Centers (DTAC) is seeking compassionate and dependable Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs) to support children and adolescents within our Intensive Behavioral Health Services (IBHS) School-Based Program in Middleburg, PA. This role provides direct behavioral and emotional support to youth in educational settings, helping students build coping skills, improve self-regulation, and achieve individualized treatment goals while collaborating with clinical staff, educators, and families.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of two years of experience working with children, adolescents, or individuals with behavioral health needs
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required Pennsylvania clearances (Act 33/34 and FBI Fingerprinting)
  • Ability to work effectively within school environments
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, Education, Counseling, or a related field
  • Previous experience in IBHS, behavioral health, education, therapeutic support, childcare, or residential treatment
  • Experience working with children who have behavioral, emotional, or developmental challenges
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care and behavioral interventions

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct behavioral support services to children and adolescents in school settings
  • Implement individualized treatment and behavior support plans
  • Assist students with emotional regulation, coping skills, and social skill development
  • Utilize positive behavioral interventions and reinforcement strategies
  • Support students in maintaining appropriate classroom behavior and engagement
  • Collaborate with teachers, school personnel, clinicians, and families
  • Monitor and document client progress toward treatment goals
  • Complete required documentation, session notes, and reports in a timely manner
  • Participate in supervision, team meetings, and ongoing training opportunities
  • Maintain professional boundaries and uphold confidentiality standards
