About The Position

This role involves providing direct behavioral health patient care within the Adolescent Psychiatry department at Ascension St. Vincent Stress Center in Indianapolis, IN. The Behavioral Health Technician will assist patients with daily living activities, perform diagnostic procedures and therapeutic interventions, and observe and record patient behavior. A key aspect of the role is establishing therapeutic relationships with assigned patients and reporting any changes in condition to suggest modifications to the treatment plan.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Bachelors degree in Psychology or similar field
Psych experience

Nice To Haves

Certification specializing in Crisis Prevention preferred.
Nurse Aide credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing preferred.
