Behavioral Health Technician

About The Position
At Keystone Retreat Behavioral Health, we believe real change starts with connection. Our team is committed to supporting individuals through substance use and mental health challenges with compassion, structure, and purpose. We’re seeking dependable Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs) to provide hands-on support in a fast-paced, recovery-focused environment. In this role, you’ll help maintain a safe, structured setting while supporting clients in their day-to-day recovery journey.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED (required)
- Valid driver’s license and age 18+
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
Nice To Haves
- Experience in behavioral health or substance use preferred
Responsibilities
- Monitor client behavior, safety, and well-being
- Assist with admissions, including screenings and documentation
- Support detox protocols and take vital signs as needed
- Transport clients to appointments and approved outings
- Assist with daily living activities and group support
- Respond to crises using de-escalation techniques
- Document observations in compliance with HIPAA and state regulations
