As a Night Shift Mental Health Technician at New Vista Behavioral Health, you are a vital part of our patients’ recovery journey, helping maintain a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment throughout the night.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Must be 21 yrs or older
Nice To Haves
- STNA preferred but not required.
- Nurses Aide preferred.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine safety checks, frequent rounding, and ongoing patient observations to promote safety and well-being throughout the night shift.
- Accurately perform and document required clinical tasks, including vital signs, patient searches, and other safety procedures in accordance with facility policies.
- Promptly report changes in patient behavior, condition, or safety concerns to the RN to support timely intervention and continuity of care.
- Monitor the treatment milieu, manage visitor access in accordance with facility policies, and help maintain a calm, structured, and secure environment conducive to healing.
- Provide compassionate, respectful patient interactions while reinforcing boundaries, promoting emotional safety, and supporting each patient’s journey toward recovery.
