Requirements

• High School Diploma Preferred
• Certified Recovery Specialist (CRS), or willingness to pursue
• Valid Driver's License
• Growth mindset

• Maintain standards of professional society procedures and ethical behavior.
• Maintain client confidentiality at all times.
• Report to work on time and as scheduled.
• Wear identification while on duty.
• Participate in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities.
• Represent the organization in a positive and professional manner at all times.
• Communicate the mission, ethics and goals of the organization.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to walk up and down stairs during emergency drills or situations.
• Has no mental, nervous, organic, or functional disease or psychiatric disorder likely to interfere with his/her ability to drive safely (I.E. holding a medical marijuana card.)

Responsibilities

• Transport clients to and from doctor appointments, meetings, and activities.
• Ensure all clients are accounted for at all times.
• Be respectful and caring to clients while maintaining proper boundaries.
• Inspect assigned vehicle and document mileage on a trip-by-trip basis.
• Immediately report missing equipment, damage to the vehicle, or unsafe conditions to the Supervisor.
• At the end of each shift, leave the vehicle locked and secured at the facility.
• Obey all traffic laws and report any violations.
• Immediately notify appropriate individuals of any accidents and complete necessary reports.
• Ensure clients and passengers wear seatbelts before operating the vehicle.
• If a client or passenger requires immediate emergency resuscitation, call 911, provide location, and begin CPR.
• Supervise clients during transport.
• Observe client behaviors.
• Adhere to safety standards.
• Enter client information into a database (EMR).
• Explain and complete admissions paperwork.
• Complete the admissions process with incoming clients, including search, Urine Drug Screen, and Breathalyzer.
• Promote a healthy recovery environment.
• Perform general housekeeping functions.
• Establish appropriate therapeutic boundaries under supervisor direction.
• Utilize identified clinical resources to review boundaries and limit setting for behavior.
• Develop therapeutic relations with clients.
• Assist in monitoring therapeutic activities with patients.
• Assist other team members as needed.
• Work directly with clients and provide proper recovery support.
