About The Position

Under the general supervision of the Crisis Care Center – Site Director, the Behavioral Health Technician Supervisor serves as the supervisor of non-clinical/technical staff for the Crisis Care Center.

Responsibilities

Oversees behavioral health technician staff members.
Oversees the scheduling of behavioral health technician staff members.
Completes monthly reporting on staff members.
Assists with admissions, discharges, and transfers of individuals.
Conducts ongoing observation of individuals for the purpose of reporting any significant changes.
Responds quickly to critical situations that may require Restrictive Interventions.
Functions as a leader in providing de-escalation and support strategies to prevent the use of physical restraints.
Provides effective emergency response in the event of imminent danger in order to maintain safety and security.
Provides a No-Force-First recovery environment.
Assists with food preparation, serving and clean up.
Assists individuals with shower and clean-up.
Monitors internal cameras throughout the shift.
Assists with environmental and safety checks on the crisis units.
Attends all required unit leadership team meetings.
Participates on the unit leadership team in the capacity of a supervisor.
Performs room safety checks, ensuring that individuals are safe from potentially dangerous objects and that the rooms are clean.
Completes documentation as required.
Maintains updated training for all staff in de-escalation standards and strategies.
Performs related duties as assigned.
